- Compute is metered in compute_unit_seconds and billed per second of sandbox runtime, around $0.12 per sandbox-hour on the standard runtime. Because billing is per second, short and idle-free sandboxes cost less than per-minute or per-hour rounding would.

- It estimates compute from how many sandboxes you run, how long each lives, and how many days per month you run them. It does not include artifact storage or preview egress, which are usually small next to compute.
